Game and Contest and Recovery and Merry Christ

I'm sure anyone that knows me in real life, knows I've been working on a computer mmo game for a couple of years now as a hobby of mine.  What started off as a pipe dream may turn into reality now.  I'm just tickled beyond words at the honor of designing a game and seeing programmers bring it to life... its just takes my breath away.  I've been playing mmo games for about 7 years now and have played a lot of them.  I've also listened to gamers on vent and scouted forums so that I could understand what makes players happy and what doesn't.  In my spare time I would just sit around writing up a players handbook or game guide.  Well who would know talking about it with my dad about the gaming industry and the billion dollar business over lunch that he would take me seriously.  So now I get the chance to sit down in February and plead my case to a handful of investors *fingers crossed* and they might lend me the money for a high risk venture in my new company I'll be starting for the game .  Nothing is set in stone yet but I'm still tickled that I even get to come up with a budget design and time line for it now and that people that can actually make it happen for me are going to listen.  I'm already scouting out artist around Deviant to kind of get a general feel of how much they would charge to be a concept artist, an area I know nothing about.  I always thought I would have to win the lotto to do this but now I might not have to wait forever.  I love my father who is the most amazing dad in the world, thanks for listening.  My nephew who is like a son to me almost is now safely recovering, thank you for all the prayers.  He'll just be a little marked up for the rest of his life but I much prefer that then the alternative.  Just in time for Christmas and what a happy merry Christmas this is.  HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE.

The 80's contest (6 DAYS LEFT)!

Rules:
  80's theme, has to be something from the following 80's categories I have listed. (I love this time period).  Cartoon TV fanart : she-ra, popples, rainbow brite, GI-Joe, strawberry shortcake, pound puppies, my little pony, transformers, Dungeons and Dragons (cartoon), JEM, Thundercats, He-Man, Inspector Gadget, Duck-Tales, Smurfs, and TMNT (old school).  Movie fanart : Aliens, The Last Unicorn, Back to the Future, The Empire Strikes Back, ET, Tron, Platoon, The Princess Bride, The Terminator, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Temple of Doom, Dune, Top Gun, Goonies, Legend, Risky Business, Flash Dance, Labyrinth, Splash, Footloose, Gremlins, Romance and The Stone, Ghostbusters, Never Ending Story, The Little Mermaid, Secret Of NIHM,  The Fox and the Hound, and Flight of the Navigator. Video game fanart : Pac-Man, Mario Brothers, Mega Man, Kid Icarus, Metroid, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Dragon's Lair, Frogger, Rampage, and Donkey Kong.  Books: which these are limited... Firestarter (book), The Mammoth Hunters (book), The Belgariad (book), and Magician (book). Reason for a small book catagory, most of the great novels of the 80's were made into movies anyways, most of them not until the 90's or 2000's so yeah it gets confusing. This should give all of you plenty to work with and a wide range of genres to pick from.  Don't make your own category, there's a good chance I wont except it.
