I'm sure anyone that knows me in real life, knows I've been working on a computer mmo game for a couple of years now as a hobby of mine. What started off as a pipe dream may turn into reality now. I'm just tickled beyond words at the honor of designing a game and seeing programmers bring it to life... its just takes my breath away. I've been playing mmo games for about 7 years now and have played a lot of them. I've also listened to gamers on vent and scouted forums so that I could understand what makes players happy and what doesn't. In my spare time I would just sit around writing up a players handbook or game guide. Well who would know talking about it with my dad about the gaming industry and the billion dollar business over lunch that he would take me seriously. So now I get the chance to sit down in February and plead my case to a handful of investors *fingers crossed* and they might lend me the money for a high risk venture in my new company I'll be starting for the game . Nothing is set in stone yet but I'm still tickled that I even get to come up with a budget design and time line for it now and that people that can actually make it happen for me are going to listen. I'm already scouting out artist around Deviant to kind of get a general feel of how much they would charge to be a concept artist, an area I know nothing about. I always thought I would have to win the lotto to do this but now I might not have to wait forever. I love my father who is the most amazing dad in the world, thanks for listening. My nephew who is like a son to me almost is now safely recovering, thank you for all the prayers. He'll just be a little marked up for the rest of his life but I much prefer that then the alternative. Just in time for Christmas and what a happy merry Christmas this is. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE.

I love sci-fi and I never thought something could top Star Trek this past summer but Avatar takes the hill. Just insane, the plot, the hero cycle, the graphics, the acting, the love story.... I mean I drooled. The whole theater cheered and clapped when the end credits ran. WAY TO GO JAMES CAMERON!! This makes Aliens look small to me now. Just down to the biology (huge bio nerd) and anthropology aspects of the movie. I mean they had the animals calls ... and the plant life... I love it when the biology of an idea for art, movie, or photo is brought into play. Did I mention the graphics is insane, it makes the Matrix look like small frys. Anyways I need this pick me up tonight and so did my sis. I mentioned earlier in the week that I came down with strep last Saturday which I had picked up from my niece who lives with me, with my Nephew, and my sister, plus my husband. Well it seems while my entire household came down with strep that my nephew who must of had a cut or scratch came down with the eating skin form of the strep bacteria. He started growing these ulcers over his body the last couple of days and last night even started to bleed from them. My mother informed us this was not normal so they took him to the doctor today which we were informed of flesh eating bacteria. The doctor said it's in its early stages so hopefully they can kill it with just penicillin and wont have to do skin graphs. Unfortunately most of the infection is on his torso so if he takes a turn for the worse they can't amputate and just keep removing the skin and hope for the best. He's only three years old so we're having our fingers crossed. There's nothing we could do tonight so I took my sister out to see Avatar to take her mind off of Gabriel who is her whole world. Anyways we're not very religious but I'm sure prayers are welcomed. If you would like to leave words of encouragement her account here is *MaskedFrog Yeah today started of shitty with the hoax letter and then finding out about Gabe. We'll know if the medicine will work on the strand of bacteria in the next couple of days. The contest is still on even though I've reached my target heart rate for today and Christmas isn't looking so happy now.

I feel like I have to update my journal fast here. This afternoon when I signed on someone had sent me a note warning people about a potential virus. I didn't know it was a hoax, please do not send that out to anyone on your list and I have a lot of watchers . In a matter of minutes I got several notes back explaining the hoax, that I'm spamming, and now I feel terrible. I absolutely hate chain letters and I'm truly sorry I contributed to it. I thought it was real, nothing that scares me more then a virus. I'm so paranoid about it I bought another 1tb external hard drive to update my system every night. Being a wedding photographer I have tons of clients now and loosing their pictures from an event that is priceless in most peoples eyes would mortify me. Again I'm terribly sorry for the hoax letter , I won't mention who sent it to me because I'm sure she doesn't know that it was a hoax either.

CONTEST TWO WEEKS ADDED! Several people have brought to my attention that they would love to enter the contest but can't do to time constraints with finals for highschool and college. I remember finals quite well and feel they have a valid point so I'm adding two weeks to the final deadline to get your work in. Instead of Dec 14th the deadline is now DEC 28th. Plus I'm trying to nurse a cold on top of having strep now so I don't think I would be in any shape to judge artwork atm. Speaking about strep anyone have any home remedies for it??? my throat feels on fire and the antibiotics (penicillin) they have me on isn't making it feel any better. I'm about 18 hours into taking them. Only thing that seems to help is Popsicle. On a brighter note I finished up one of my last clients for the holiday and wrapping up another in two days from now. I'll have more time for my own entries and art.

I think half of us saw this on the daily deviation today (warning nude) [link] and even if it's not "my cup of tea" I feel the deviant community at large needs to respect the opinion of the mod that chose the DD. It's like half the community forgot the meaning of what art really is. Art is in the eye of the beholder, meaning one piece you think is awful may catch another persons eye. My thoughts on the photograph is that it lacks in photographic quality (poor lightening, blurriness, color, ect.) Where it lacks in the quality of the shot certainly makes up in its subject matter. I will respect and certainly understand why some people may see it as DD worthy. As to the suggestion that she doesn't need to be nude is completely silly. Being clothed in a leotard lacks the confidence of being completely nude. I know I don't have the confidence to pose nude let alone post it up for the world to see and I'm way younger then this woman. I applauded the model for sheer trust. As to saying it shows her athleticism I would have to disagree. Flexibility is a sign of health but in certain cases people can just be born flexible. I know my sister is extremely flexible but she can't out run my on a tread mill or lift half the weights I can not to mention she gets winded easily. That being said the fact of her age and size to take the photo is wonderful. I've lost all my grandmothers now and I know I would have been thrilled to have a grandma like her. I would still be honored if any of my work was chose as a DD and I congratulated the artist on the piece. Also saying the piece shouldn't win a dd because the model is fat, old, and nude makes me sick, this world needs to grow up on self image by leaps and bounds.

Anyways I haven't posted in a while, I've been so busy with clients and the holidays the days seem to whoosh past. My last entry was on New Moon. I would say I enjoyed this movie better then Twilight but I rack that up to the fact the I think New Moon the book is better then the Twilight book. The book as always is far more superior to the movie and if I was Bella I would always go for Jacob (werewolf bestfriend) over Edward (handsome cold vampire lover). I can't add any more complaints about the acting with out spoiling the movie. All in all I'm cheerful and sunny as always. Other then money things seem to be going better and I'm looking forward to the contest entries which my contest is coming to a close.
